How does it work ?
Happy Nest timetable
Happy Nest is open from Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 14.30 and follows the same holiday schedule as the International School of Hamburg.
Parents can decide to send their child 2, 3 or 5 days a week.
HAPPY NEST TIMETABLE:
8.30-9.00 welcome.
9.00-10-00 free play in the play room.
10.00-10.15 snack time with fresh fruit and water.
10.15-10.45 activity: painting, dancing, cooking, games,...
10.45-11.30 free play in the garden.
11.30-11.45 preparation for the lunch.
11.45-12.15 lunch
12.15-12.30 preparation for nap time.
12.30-14.00 nap time.
14.00-14.30 parents/nannies collect the children
Settling in Happy Nest
Attending Happy Nest is something new for a child, so she/he will need some time to get used to it. The first separation from the mother is an important moment in the life of every toddler.
Every child is different and it is important to respect her/his own time and way of settling.
Normally the settling phase in Happy Nest lasts for 2 or 3 weeks.
During the settling, the same adult (mother/father/nanny/grandparent) will stay with the child in the house until she/he will be able to stay with Giovanna for 1 hour without the mum.
During the first days, the adult will remain in the background (reading a book in the living room), while Giovanna will create a friendly relation with the child.
At the beginning the adult will go away just for a few minutes, then for more time.
Then, day by day, the child will be able to stay without the mum for more time.
Usually, after 2 or 3 weeks, the child is able to stay with Giovanna and the other children, happily from 8.30 to 14.30.
Of course my two sweet cats Simba and Yuma will help the new children to feel relaxed and comfortable in Happy Nest !!
What will the children eat ?
Giovanna will prepare healthy, fresh and tasty food for the children. She loves to cook and will be happy to follow a mediterranean diet with lots of fresh vegetables, fruits and of course her fantastic pasta !!
Every 4 months, parents will receive a new weekly food menu.
In case of special dietary requests, Giovanna will be very happy to work out an appropriate personal menu together with the parents.
